Travel Tuesday: Coiled Incense

#TravelTuesday: Travel through photos

Incense is a traditional part of many religions and has many purposes, but most common is it prepares your senses to go into a meditative state.  Coiled incense is quite common in Asia, as it allows for a longer burn without taking up too much space.

This photo is taken at Man Mo temple, the first temple that I ever visited in Hong Kong.  It was built in 1847 and sometimes seems a bit misplaced on Hollywood Rd among the modern skyscrapers that cover the Central area of Hong Kong.  Coils of every size cover the ceiling.
